This sewing pattern for a fully reversible cozy vest features handy zipper pockets on the outer side and cozy handwarmer pockets on the lining side.  Two views have either snap or zipper closures.  This vest is insulated and can be quilted or lined in polar fleece.  

Suggested Fabrics:
Outer Shell:  Polartec Neoshell or Gore-Tex or other water repellent fabrics such as Supplex (Taslan) Nylon Woven
Lining: Polartec Fleece or Aerospace Tek
Insulation:  PrimaLoft Gold or Silver when using light fabrics for outer and lining. Omit insulation if using pre-quilted fabric or warm fleece for lining.

Notions:
Polyester Thread, two 7" zippers for pockets (use zipper by the yard)  View A: 24" (sizes XS-M) or 28" (sizes Large - 2XL) Reversible Zipper; View B: seven Heavy Duty Snaps.
