A Lightweight Breathable Insulating Layer

60 GSM  

A clean and simple hoody with a balaclava style hood that packs a ton of warmth for its weight.  Polartec® Alpha Direct 60 gsm (grams per square meter) fabric is used to create a super-compressible and packable insulating layer that sheds excess heat while you are working but locks it in when you need it!   Keeping the design simple - no zippers and no pockets - keeps weight and volume to a minimum, making it a layer you will reach for time and again not only in the front country but the back country too.  

Alpha Direct is moisture resistant and fast-drying making it an ideal fabric for high output activities.  Our Alpha Direct Hoody's are made Canada, in-house in our fair-wage  workshop!  To determine your size, please refer to our lay-flat measurements chart below.

Flat Garment Measurement Chart

Measurements taken with the garment lying flat. 

Flat Chest Width is measured on one side only, from armpit to armpit.  Double this measurement to estimate circumference around your chest.

Flat Length is measured from the centre back neckline where the back meets the hood to the bottom of the hoody.

Flat Sleeve is measured from the top of the shoulder, where it meets the hood, to the bottom of the sleeve.

NOTE:  Polartec® Alpha Direct does not have a lot of stretch therefore this garment should be worn as a relaxed fit.  When comparing your body measurements to the flat measurement chart below, we recommend adding a few inches to your body measurements to obtain a relaxed fit.  It is recommended to compare these lay-flat measurements to one of your similar loose-fitting/relaxed fit hoodies or shirts with raglan sleeves.  If you have questions about sizing, please call before ordering as these hoodies are NOT RETURNABLE.
