The key to good chlorine-resistant swimwear fabric is the quality of spandex/elastane/Lycra used as chlorine literally eats away at this component of the fabric. This material uses Lycra Xtra Life®, a top quality spandex developed for the swim industry that is 10-15% more resistant to chlorine than regular spandex ensuring your swim suit will last.

Please note that the Chlorine Resistant Swim Fabrics are not fade-resistant. Chlorine, strong detergents, and sunlight… any of these alone will cause fading (combine these and the fading will increase).  Both chlorine and sunlight can bleach fabrics, and strong detergents can break down color in fabrics, this is especially true of bright colors.
