Polartec Power Dry - Lightweight Styles
What is Polartec Power Dry?
Polartec Power Dry was created to give base layer fabrics greater efficiency, more dependable moisture wicking properties, faster dry times and better overall performance. It is superior to other brands of moisture-wicking fabrics. Often, other brands can only provide temporary wicking chemistry that fades and weakens with every wash. Power Dry is different. It does not rely on chemicals to make it wick or manage moisture. By designing mechanical wicking fabric with patented bi-component construction, Polartec® created a superior base material that pulls moisture from the skin, expands for faster evaporation and lasts the life of the fabric. Moving moisture away from the skin and allowing continuous evaporation prevents your base layer from becoming saturated and helps to regulate your temperature in all weather conditions.
Lightweight Power Dry
Lightweight Power Dry simply refers to the many styles we carry that are most suitable for warm weather. That being said, many of the lightest styles make a wonderful base layer when layering with other fabrics for winter warmth.
Many of the styles we offer contain recycled silver salt. This is a highly effective antimicrobial treatment that kills odor to keep your garments fresher between washes. Look for OR, or odor resistant in the style number.
All Power Dry styles are comfortable when worn next to skin and are the ideal lightweight base-layer fabric.
Some styles have a smooth jersey face and back while others have some degree of texture. Check the Specs and Features tab below for content, stretch and more detailed description of each style!
