This fully lined jacket pattern (with an optional insulation layer) is perfect for making a warm and weather-proof layer for children. It features two front pockets with pocket flaps and side handwarmer pockets. The zipper front has a zipper guard backed with hook and loop to keep out the wind. A hood with a drawstring cord helps keep the head warm. The length goes below the hip, and the cuffs finish with elastic.
Suggested Fabrics:
Outer Shell: waterproof, waterproof breathable, or water repellent fabric.
Lining: lightweight nylon woven
Optional Insulation: PrimaLoft Gold or Silver

Polyester threads, one 20-24 separating zipper, 2.5 yd (2.3m) 1/8 cord, 1/4 yd (.23m) 3/4 hook and loop, 1/2 yd (.5m) 3/4 wide elastic.
