This clever sewing pattern makes up a large and practical rain poncho that will keep off the wet weather. Quick and easy, this poncho can be made with a drawstring hood or with just a neck drawstring. The larger size has greater arm coverage. The zipper pocket in the front has a flap, and the poncho cleverly folds into this pocket to become a convenient belt pack when not being worn.
Finished Sizes:
Small: 57 x 83-1/2 (145x212cm)
Medium: 57 x 92-1/2 (145x235cm)
Large: 67 x 101-1/2 (170x258cm)
Fabric Requirements - 60 (150cm) wide fabric:
Small: 3-1/8 yd (2.9m); Medium: 3-3/8 yd (3.1m); Large: 4-1/8 yd (3.8m)
Suggested Fabrics:
Waterproof Breathable or Water Resistant fabrics (coated ripstop, silnylon, or coated supplex nylon woven)
Notions:
Polyester thread, 1/2 yd (.46m) #5 coil zipper tape, one #5 zipper pull, 18 (46cm) 3/4 (2cm) velcro, 2-1/2 yd (2.3m) 1/8 (.3cm) shock cord, 1-1/2 yd (1.4m) 1" (2.5cm) nylon webbing, three grommets, three cord locks, one 1" (2.5cm) side release buckle.
