What is FOE?
FOE stands for Fold Over Elastic. It has several uses. Most commonly it is used to finish the edges of knit garments as an alternative to a cuff. It has stretch and is easy to apply.
Laura demonstrates a few ways to apply FOE in this video which was created for a riding skirt pattern we designed. Regardless of garment, these tips are useful.
We have a several colours and 5 widths of Fold Over Elastic (FOE):
Some of the 3/4" (approx. 19 mm) solid colours match some Polartec Classic 200 weight fleeces (if the colourway is the same, they match). You can see these fleeces here.
FOE is sold by the yard and is subject to shipping charges however, when ordered with other fabrics, it's weight is minimal and will not affect your overall shipping charge. Occasionally we can send by itself, letter mail with stamps, so if you wish us to do this, send an email outlining what you want, and we'll let you know if it's possible. Generally is is $5. shipping/handling when done letter mail. This option is only available to Canadian residents where customs declarations are not a requirement.
