Style Falcon sewing patterns are thoughtfully designed for women in midlife and beyond, making it easier to create a handmade wardrobe that feels comfortable, flattering, and true to your personal style.

Style Falcon patterns are drafted using proportions that differ from the traditional youthful hourglass block commonly used in commercial patterns, offering another fit option for sewists whose bodies are better suited to these proportions.

This includes:

• Little bust-to-waist definition

• Lower bust points, for a “C” to “D” cup

• More room at the tummy, hip and sleeve bicep

• Center-back seams, with rounded back and forward shoulder shaping

• For people about 5’4” (about 163 cm)

About the Two-hour Dress

Do you have about two hours and about two yards or meters of fabric? You can make this dress! This light knit dress returns designer results - and pockets - with minimal effort.  

Or make an elevated T-shirt top to wear with any bottoms.

Sew either up after lunch and wear it to dinner, a concert - anywhere life takes you.

The dress and the top both offer trendy square necklines, princess seams, back darts and elbow-length sleeves.

The dress has slouchy pockets and a split hem below the knee for lightness and twirlability

The top has a slight handkerchief hem that hits at the hip, perfect for pairing with any pant or skirt.

Fabric Choices

Pattern and Instructions Formats

The Two-hour Dress pattern comes in two layered .pdf formats - A0 and Letter. The A0 file is two sheets of paper; both are needed to complete either view A or B. The Letter format is on 33 pages; the top takes 18 pages and the dress takes all pages.

Instructions are offered in standard print and large-print formats for accessibility. All measurements are provided in Imperial and metric units. The pattern and its instructions are in English.
