Rubber Elastic for swimwear, dancewear and skating costumes.

This is a 1/4" flat rubber elastic ideally suited to sewing swim and dancewear.  Rubber elastic maintains its tension over time and is resistant to UV rays, chlorine, salt water and sunscreen oils and lotions. This is the industry standard for most commercial swimsuits.

If you prefer a wider 1/2" elastic, we recommend the Braided Swim elastic. It is very comfortable against the skin, and extremely high quality cotton-wrapped rubber. 

We also offer clear elastic (also known as Mobilon) for use in lingerie and knit garments.
